Building a new brand of beautiful French wine, in a box. Founded in California by two friends who opted for boxed over bottles to minimize the carbon footprint by 50%. The main challenge was to overcome the lower-quality perceptions of boxed wine through high-quality design and packaging worthy of the MoMA store. Our team strategically defined and designed an approachable brand that invites you into a new way to wine and think outside the bottle. The box itself is a custom 1.5L design made to fit naturally on your counter or carry to the dinner party. The logo is designed specifically to fit the panel and incorporates half-circles or 'cups' of wine. Ten half-circles fall across the packaging, indicating the number of glasses to enjoy. Playful illustrations bring the name to life (ami is 'friend' in French) and create a spirited brand universe with a sense of quality and time. This is because they are directly inspired by Italian Futurist, Fortunato Depero's work, the artist known for iconic Campari advertising across the 1920s and 30s.
